These printers are quite similar to the LJ 4250/4350 series however modified enough to clasify them as an entirely new print engine series. These printers are 45, 52 and 62 pages per minute respectively and have a processor speed of 540Mhz. The student will find new challenges while attending this class that he/she will be able to use in the service and repair of these new printers. A great amount of common failure information has been accumulated on the 4000 series of printers. It was advertised as a producer of consistent color from unit to unit. Thus, these higher end color units which accurately reproduce print and scanned colors, are clearly more complicated and have many more tools to help the service technician. This class addresses the print versions of these units addressing theory, paper path and scanner path components, technology advances, diagnostics, kits, teardown and lots more.
